Analysing the Training needs of the Energy Sector Worldwide

Structured Outlooks Ltd. in partnership with Appropriate Training Ltd and the Energy Institute, has been commissioned to undertake an analysis of the skills and recruitment needs of the energy sector in Wales, whilst undertaking a similar exercise with companies worldwide, in order to benchmark the skills issues identified in each country.

The project has been commissioned by DCELLS (Department for Children, Education, Life-long Learning and Skills) Part of the Welsh Assembly government, and will include an analysis of the current Training and Qualifications provision available for the Sector. The report when completed will also identify any gaps in the qualifications and training provision available, and will result in new qualification curricula being developed where needed.

Anyone wishing to take part in the survey may do so in 2 ways

1. Request a PIN in order to access the on line Training Needs Analysis (TNA) form, which you may then complete at your leisure
2. Request a consultant to undertake the TNA for you free of charge, this will only be available to a small number of companies worldwide, although all UK organisations may access this service.

Please contact cath@appropriatetraining.com to receive your PIN, to request a visit, or to find out more.

What would I gain from participating?

All organisations participating will receive a print out of their TNA which can then be used to plan training. In addition, where requested we can offer free advice regarding training solutions and provision, as well as access to free advice regarding potential funding available to support the cost of any training identified.
In addition all those participating will receive a copy of the final report, which will include a statistical analysis of training and recruitment needs worldwide, which will support benchmarking activities. In addition the report will outline details of any best practices identified regarding training solutions and recruitment practices.
The project, will develop new qualification curricula where gaps in provision are identified.
